The Beginning of Something Wonderful

I praise God for bringing me here to Denver.
It is only in His grace and providence that I am here in this exact moment.

Have you ever had that moment in your life where all the pieces seemed to fit together?
When all those "random" moments and encounters do not seem so out of place anymore...
When you see how each event and person was molding you...
When you see the beauty burst forth from your ashes...
I am having that moment!
I have had those moments before where I can so clearly see how God's hand was directing my path, through the mountains, valleys, harvests and droughts.
The amazing thing is that this is not a one moment epiphany.
I will forever be in awe of God's work in my life because He will never cease to be the sovereign God, who uses all things together for my good and His glory!

My spirit has longed to be a part of a body like Providence Bible Church for a lifetime.
I do not say that with bitterness or disregard for the church bodies I have been a part of before.
First Baptist, Community, Eagle and Hamilton Village were church bodies that I loved, appreciated and grew because of.
I thank God for using those bodies to bless me and sanctify me.
However, there are distinctions about Providence that I have been longing for.
It doesn't make Providence any better or high on a totem pole.
All good in them is only because of God, not because of the people or particular church.

God's universal church is made up of people from every tribe, tongue and nation.
PBC reflects that beautiful diverse kingdom.
You look across the congregation and you see many shades of skin and economic statuses.
You listen to the congregation and you hear at least three languages on their lips.

The Gospel penetrates everything and everyone at PBC.
We exist because of the Gospel and for the Gospel.
Every program, every service, every community involvement is for the purpose of communicating the Gospel verbally and by example.

PBC is a local body.
I live within minutes of a dozen or more people that attend PBC.

The church of PBC is not defined by or confined to a building.
The church of PBC is the people; the people who are committed to loving God and loving people.

I am at the beginning of something wonderful...

Jesus, thank you for being sovereign. Thank you for directing me and preparing me for exactly where You have me. Please reveal Your salvation to the heart of those who do not yet know You. I love You. Amen.
