Because of You

I thank God in all my remembrance of you... In view of your participation in the Gospel from the first day until now... You are all partakers of grace with me. Philippians 1:3, 7

As I am training the incoming Fellowship cohort on how to build prayerful and financial partnerships with their family and friends, I am reminded by the impact that my own partnerships have.

I am blessed with 22 consistent financial partners; a dozen other one-time or short-term financial partners; and countless family members and friends who have shown their support through encouragement and prayer. Thank you to each of you who partners with me in the Gospel in one way or another! It is through the kindness that God has filled your heart that my ministry in Denver is possible. This post is a tribute to you, so that you will know all that God is doing because of you.

Because of you I make a livable wage and am able to financially contribute to James and I’s livelihood. We have a roof over our head; food to eat; a warm bed to lay our heads; gas in our cars; and money to pay my student loans, tithe to the church and sponsor our Compassion child in Kenya.

Because of you I am growing and serving within Providence Bible Church. God has surrounded me with incredible spiritual leadership, direction and wisdom. James and I are blessed to live spiritually and geographically in community with believers who are committed to Christ and His mission.

Because of you I am a part of the first Providence Center Fellowship cohort. I am a member of a dynamic team of nine that differs in personality, background and abilities, but that unites in our love for Christ and our conviction to love our neighbors.

Because of you I have the opportunity to tutor for six hours a week at Garden Place Academy. I have spent nine months tutoring three students in literacy. Ellen, Danny and Fe* have grown in their confidence as readers, fluency, accuracy, comprehension and rate of learning. By becoming better readers, they have taken a step closer to a brighter future.

Because of you I am able to support families as they escape poverty and pursue their dreams. I am building a relationship with four single moms, meeting with them on a bi-weekly basis. It is my honor and joy to engage myself in their lives. Together we set goals and work towards positive change. I advocate on their behalf in the community and connect them to the best people and resources Denver has to offer. Exciting things are on the horizon for these women and their children!

Because of you the Gospel goes forth! I have only mentioned a few things of many that would be impossible without you. Your loving prayerful and financial partnership is making a difference in my life and the lives of those I serve. May God bless you in abundance with His loving kindness!

Philippians 1:3-7

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.
